About
Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin. My research is focused on authoritarian information manipulation. I use mixed methods, including computational text analysis, survey experiments, and semi-structured interviews, to study forms of authoritarian information control, and its effects and consequences. My interest in these issues is informed by a decade-long career as a journalist and foreign correspondent for the Singaporean public broadcaster, Channel NewsAsia. My research has been supported by Research Ireland, where I am a Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholar (2022-2026), and the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy, where I was a Dissertation Fellow in 2024.
